Niche and Industry Marketing
On Tuesday, May 6, 2008, Sally Schmidt will provide her thoughts on “Niche and Industry Marketing” to the Northwest Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association.
She will cover:
- The value and challenges of industry/niche marketing
- Identifying potential opportunities to target niche practices or industries
- Organizing a niche/industry marketing effort
- Potential strategies for a niche/industry marketing program

About the speaker:
Sally J. Schmidt was the founder and first president of the Legal Marketing Association. She is president of Schmidt Marketing, Inc. in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a company offering marketing services to law firms and networks of law firms. Schmidt earned her MBA in marketing and is the author of two books: Marketing the Law Firm: Business Development Techniques and Business Development for Lawyers: Strategies for Getting and Keeping Clients. She has spoken at more than 200 national and international seminars and conferences for the legal profession. A former instructor at the University of Minnesota, teaching "Principles of Marketing," Ms. Schmidt also developed the curriculum for and taught "Law Office Marketing and Long Range Planning" at Inver Hills Community College in St. Paul. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board for the newsletter Marketing for Lawyers.
