Lawyer leverage
Philadelphia's major law fims employed slightly more than one associate (1.10) and slightly more than two total lawyers (2.42) per partner, according to data from the National Association for Law Placement's 2007-2008 Directory of Legal Employers, an annual compendium of legal employer information. The survey included data from 22 Philadelphia firms that employ a total of 2,941 lawyers.
