The Client Development Coordinator will support Practice Development Managers and Administrators in managing marketing and business development functions.

The Client Development Coordinator works closely with other members of the firmwide CD team to ensure client-development initiatives synchronize with overall firm strategic initiatives.  This includes research and analysis and competitive intelligence-gathering for strategic planning, competitive firm positioning, and client-development and business-expansion activities. Also, supporting development, implementation, and tracking of marketing, communications, and practice development initiatives in business plans.

Additionally, supporting recruiting of lateral attorneys into firm via preparation of targeted information regarding practice area in question for inclusion in lateral attorney recruiting packet for laterals; supporting integration of lateral attorneys via preparation of attorney biographies and announcements, distribution of announcements, collection for and integration of contacts into firm’s CRM system, collection and integration of experience for and into Department and Practice marketing materials, coordination with Global Communications team as to internal and external communications. And supporting coordination of client-development training for attorneys is required.

Specific requirements

  • One to three years law firm experience preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated good judgment, ability to multi-task, a team-first orientation, highly detail oriented, and results driven. Willing to work overtime as needed. A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a marketing, business, English, or communications-related field, or appropriate experience in a related field.
