Collaborate with the Marketing & Business Development Administrator, practice department managers, and attorneys to coordinate the full scope of activities necessary to: effectively market the legal services provided in the Washington Office, generate new business for existing and emerging areas of practice, and to effectively respond to new business opportunities, requests for market research/intelligence, public/media relations inquiries.

The Washington, D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, a large international law firm, is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Specialist. Responsibilities include preparing materials for new business pitches and presentations; preparing responses to RFPs; conducting research and analysis relating to new business opportunities; coordinating public relations / media opportunities; planning and implementing client seminars and other Firm-sponsored events; coordinating content updates to practice group descriptions and the external Web site; and collaborating with practice groups on the development of client newsletters and alerts, including the development and maintenance of mailing lists.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years experience in marketing, business development and/or related field.
