Baker & Daniels LLP is seeking an experienced communications professional to manage and execute strategic communications efforts for the firm. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in media relations, journalism or with a communications agency.

Management of media relations, external relations with industry and trade groups/publications, speaking organizations and other executive forums.

Create and implement media relations plans and develop strategic thought-leadership positions around industry trends.

Develop and pitch stories to local, regional, trade and national media, in accordance with planned strategy. Manage drafting, editing and distribution of information.

Maintain robust media relations program including management of ongoing editorial calendar opportunities, placement of bylined articles, response to breaking news and other initiatives.

Manage agency resources.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with news media and publishers.

Enhance firm's internal communications program.

Handle annual surveys and directories for the firm.
