Sherman & Howard has an immediate opening in its Denver office for a Senior Writer/Editor. Responsibilities include developing, editing and proofreading copy for newsletters, client advisories, attorney biographies, attorney presentations, articles, internal communications, web copy, practice and industry group descriptions, requests for proposal and other pitch response requests, and developing a database of standard response language.
Skills/Requirements: Knowledge of the principles and practices associated with the development of advanced marketing materials and knowledge of law firm practices. Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation and grammar. Knowledge of Associated Press/Chicago style guidelines. Skilled in the use of computer systems, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years of progressively responsible and varied marketing, media relations, journalism or communications experience that involved the development of a wide variety of communication materials in the legal industry or other professional services fields.
