February Program Recap — Diversity and Business Development: Answering the Big Questions
Not long before the presidential candidates began to address the pace of society's changing racial attitudes, two consultants from Akina told an LMA Chicago luncheon that law firms as a whole are behind the curve in embracing diversity and multiculturalism. LMA Chicago Announces New Board of Directors for 2008
Sydney Iglitzen, Public Relations Manager at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, has been elected president of LMA Chicago. In addition, Megan Wilroy, Marketing Project Manager at Foley & Lardner LLP, has been named president-elect.

October Program Recap - Building Collaboration among Law Firm Support Groups
The first ever joint meeting of LMA Chicago and ALA (Association of Legal Administrators) held on October 18, 2007, was a rousing success, with attendance of more than one hundred law firm administrators, financial directors and legal marketers. Mary K. Arnberg, Director of Human Resources at Quarles & Brady LLP, and Paula Giovacchini, president of the Gio Group, Inc., presented the program titled "Building Collaboration among Law Firm Support Groups."

August Program Recap - Engaging Your Audience Online
The "new media revolution" has taken over the Internet. Blogs, podcasts, videos and wikis are no longer only the domain of the "technophile," but are tools being used by everyone from CNN to Payless Shoes. (Seriously, even Payless has video applications on their webpage!) Many are still on the fringes of the revolution, but are beginning to see the value of this next wave of Internet technology. The question is: can implementing and understanding these new Web tools help you and your law firm bring in new business?
