This program will be of great interest to Recruiting Chairs, Diversity Committee Chairs and anyone involved in Diversity initiatives at your firm.
Much discussion has taken place in recent years concerning diversity in the legal field, and marketers are often asked to demonstrate how their firms are addressing the issue. Increasingly, there is more pressure for marketing to show tangible results and demonstrated commitment to diversity in responses to proposals, the development of firm collateral and recruiting materials. As marketers know, outside pressure from corporate clients is creating a strategic opportunity for law firms who can demonstrate a commitment to diversity in a tangible way.
Diversity is a term with many definitions and approaches, and many firms are now beginning to see the true value that a diverse firm can provide. To that end, many firms have begun a diversity initiative to recruit a more diverse staff.
This presentation will help marketers think about the strategic business implications of diversity and will provide marketers with a framework and tools to help their firms begin or continue to address these important diversity issues. This presentation will provide an open forum to discuss the state of diversity in the legal field and provide opportunities for discussing some best practices for marketing and improving diversity.
At the completion of this program, the participants will be able to:
- Achieve a better understanding about the state of diversity in law firms.
- Develop a process to help their firm better address issues of diversity.
- Apply ideas to better generate buy-in for diversity initiatives within the firm.
Deliverables and Take-Aways:
- Participants will receive resources for best practices as they relate to marketing diversity within the law firm.
- Participants will receive various best practices for addressing diversity that could be adapted for utilization in their respective firms.
