2008 Inductee — Mike Ralston

Mike Ralston

Mike Ralston has dedicated more than twenty-five years to the legal marketing profession. He was a founder of NLFMA — the predecessor organization to LMA. He was one of the early presidents of LMA and LMA Chicago, and he served on our chapter board many, many times. He is a frequent volunteer, most notably as chairperson for many committees, including the 2005 Midwest Conference.

Mike created marketing departments at two notable but now defunct law firms — Keck, Mahin & Cate and Hopkins & Sutter. He now serves as Director of Marketing & Business Development at Vedder Price.

2007 Inductee — Marceline (Marcie) O'Connor Johnson

Marceline (Marcie) O'Connor Johnson is one of the pioneers in law firm marketing. She was a founding member of NLFMA — the organization that became LMA — and a past president of the organization.

Marcie established the marketing departments at law firms, Friedman & Koven; Lord, Bissell & Brook and Chapman and Cutler. She is now the Manager of Marketing and Communications at Schiff Hardin, where she is actively involved in the business development training of both partners and associates.

Marcie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and received her paralegal degree (Certification, with honors) from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
