Green Sponsor

How to be a Capital Chapter Green Sponsor

By contributing to the LMA Capital Chapter Green Initiative, you will be supporting an important effort to reduce the environmental impact we have on our community and improve our quality of life. Reducing greenhouse gasses that contribute to global warming, improving air and water quality, and reducing energy usage are just some of the many goals of the green initiative.

As an official Green Sponsor of the LMA Capital Chapter, a percentage of your contribution will go directly to building and supporting our Green Initiative. The other portion of the sponsor fee will be put toward supporting the many educational programs and events of the Capital Chapter. The benefits of being a Green Sponsor are as follows:

  • Recognition as an official Capital Chapter Green Sponsor on materials
  • Logo on a section of our Chapter website dedicated to the Green Initiative. In addition to your logo, a “Going Green” statement (100 words or less) will be included next to your logo describing how your company is going green or supporting the Chapter initiative through your company’s policies and procedures
  • Logo will appear on all communications that come from the Chapter concerning the Chapter's Green Initiative
  • At least once during the year, an email will go out to all of our Chapter members thanking all Green Initiative sponsors for their support
  • Recognition as a Green Initiative Sponsor in our annual Member Directory

Minimum Requirements of Green Sponsors

All LMA Capital Chapter Green Initiative Sponsors must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to going green by adopting policies and procedures that reduce their impact on the environment. Examples of this commitment include, but are not limited to:

  •  Adopting "best practices" for office paper management so that you both reduce the amount of paper you use and increase recycling
  • Supporting the growing field of renewable energy. Buy some - or all -of the amount of electricity you use from renewable sources such as solar cells or wind farms
  • Adopting an energy management plan to reduce your electricity use by at least 10%
  • Doing business with suppliers and others who share your commitment to going green

Sponsorship Cost: $1,000 annually
