Diversity Means Inclusiveness
The importance of listening to and respecting others drove the design of HRO’s award-winning ad, which bears the headline, “Diversity means…a seat for everyone at the table.”
The judges liked it well enough to give it first place in the Single Ad category. “Well done, completed in house, with good authority,” were among the plaudits given.
Striking in its difference from other ads similarly themed – where people of differing skin colors often portray the idea of diversity – the ad’s key visual, a lineup of multi–colored and different-styled chairs, told a stronger and clever story.
“The ad depicts that we understand principles upon which inclusiveness is based,” said a firm spokesman. “We welcome diversity of thought and opinion as well as race, religion and sexual orientation.”
The ad has caught on and attracted broader attention. It and the firm may be the subject of an upcoming media profile on successful advertising, according to firm spokesmen.
Interestingly, the ad was produced in house and cost about $10 for the photography. The judges noticed that feature as well.
