Communications Specialist

 

Summary: Prominent international law firm serving clients in the energy and financial services sectors worldwide is seeking a Communications Specialist. The position will be directly responsible for internal communications, rankings and directories submissions, as well as public relations support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for internal communications including producing weekly firm-wide meetings and managing content on the firm's portal;
  • Provide internal communications counsel to executives and law firm leaders;
  • Project management of rankings directories and surveys organizations;
  • Assembles and submits surveys, directories and other opportunities related to research companies;
  • Supports public relations activities, including management of ongoing editorial calendar opportunities;
  • May be assigned other duties as necessary.

 


Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or equivalent with 3+ years experience in a related field; Law firm or professional services marketing experience a plus. 
  • Superior written and oral communications skills;
  • Must interact well with all levels people within the firm;
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented; handles multiple projects, collaborates with team members and works with a sense of urgency with excellent follow-up skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Access.

Communications Assistant

Summary: Prominent international law firm serving clients in the energy and financial services sectors worldwide is seeking a Communications Assistant. This position works closely with the Communications team to assist with public relations, internal communications and legal rankings and surveys.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages daily news reporting;
  • Assists with media placement tracking and measurement;
  • Supports internal communications efforts including posting to firm portal;
  • Secures reprint rights; posts to Web site newsroom;
  • Research advertisement opportunities;
  • Provides administrative assistance;
  • May be assigned other duties as necessary.

 

Experience & Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or equivalent;
  • Law firm or professional services marketing experience a plus;
  • Superior written and oral communications skills;
