EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - 2021 Southwest Board of Directors

Your Expression of Interest must be submitted by Friday, March 19, 2021 by 5:00PM CT. Materials will be due no later than Tuesday, March 23, 2021 by 5:00PM CT.

The Southwest region has a vacancy for the 2021 President position. The individual selected will take office immediately after the Southwest board has voted in April and will serve as a member of the Southwest Board and Executive Committee in the President role through December 31, 2021 and the Immediate Past President role through December 31,2022, as this is a 2 year commitment. A formal role description is located within the Regional Governing Board and LSC Roles Descriptions document. 

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet all of the following criteria in order to be eligible to serve on the Regional Board of Directors:

  • Each nominee must have been a member of LMA for at least one year at the time of nomination.
  • A candidate must be a member in good standing (i.e., dues must be current).
  • A candidate must have approval of employer, if applicable, to participate in board service.
  • No individual may serve on more than one LMA board (international, regional or local steering committee) at any one time.

Expression of Interest

  • Deadline for submission is Friday, March 19, 2021 at 5:00PM CT
  • Upon receipt of completed Expressions of Interest and verification of eligibility, the Nominating Committee Staff Liaison will contact candidates with next steps.

Process for Initial Expression of Interest:

  • If you wish to refer someone else to submit, please submit their name and contact information in the appropriate fields. Please note that all nominees are created equal. If submitting a suggestion for another individual, your submission will remain anonymous to the candidate and the committee members. Their Expression of Interest must also be submitted by 5:00PM CT on March 19, 2021.
