CHAPTER NEWS
7/30/2010

The Marketing Book Club - Seattle is up and running.  Join us for our next meeting:

WHEN:  Friday, September 17, 2010, at noon

WHERE:  Wild Ginger, 1401 3rd Avenue (at Union Street)

BOOK:  Orbiting the Giant Hairball: A Corporate Fool’s Guide to Surviving with Grace (McKenzie)

We all thought July's book, The Trusted Advisor, was excellent.  The approaches recommended in the book apply not just to attorneys and other professionals who provide services directly to clients, but also to the marketers who advise and support those professionals.  Both groups can apply Maister’s tips to become trusted advisors.

The Marketing Book Club meets at noon on the third Friday of every other month at a different downtown restaurant.  Non-members are welcome to attend.

While reading the books is highly encouraged (this is a book club after all), you may attend the meetings even if you have not read the books, because life happens, right?

If you'd like to read ahead, the November book is You, Inc.: The Art of Selling Yourself (Beckwith) -- a career brush-up by a respected author in the professional services realm (and a Pacific Northwest native).

The Book Club will meet at noon on the third Friday of every other month at a different downtown restaurant.

While reading the books is highly encouraged (this is a book club after all), you may attend the meetings even if you have not read the books, because life happens, right?  We hope to see you there.
