NATIONAL CONFERENCE & LMA NORTHWEST SCHOLARSHIP WINNER: The LMA National Conference took place on March 14-16, 2012 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. The LMA Annual Conference is the largest event for legal marketing and business development professionals, attracting over one thousand attendees. It is a superior professional development activity that gives you the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the latest industry trends, and practical information you can take back and immediately implement to improve your competitive advantage. As a benefit to members, LMA Northwest has provided a scholarship to one recipient for the past five years. Tenaya Meaux of Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C was the 2012 chapter member recipient of the LMA Northwest drawing for a scholarship to attend the Annual Conference. Tenaya recapped her experience as a first-time attendee of the conference, read about it on the Scholarship page of the LMA Northwest chapter website.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: All LMA members across the organization are now on the same annual renewal schedule; all memberships now renew in January each year. As we approach the mid-point of the year, there is a pro-rated structure if you are not yet a member of LMA. If you have any questions about current pricing, membership renewal or the new group rate available for enrolling multiple staffers at your firm, please contact Karie Trujillo, our chapter's Membership Chair, at KarieTrujillo@mhgm.com.
10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY & MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: As we continue to celebrate the Northwest chapter's 10-year anniversary during 2012, we are highlighting different founding board members, such as Melissa Hoff, or members who have been part of LMA for 10+ years, such as Greg Fredette. CALL FOR BOARD MEMBERS: Chapter slating for the 2013 Board will begin in June. Positions opening up in 2013 include Vice President of Programming, Membership Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
