LMA Midwest is recruiting leaders to fill critical positions on the Board of Directors. We are looking for candidates who want to:

• Make a difference in the chapter and in their profession
• Contribute ideas
• Step up and get more involved in the chapter
• Does that describe you?

The Board voted this year to reinstate slated elections to abide by our bylaws. Members will still self-nominate, but the Nominating Committee, an objective and experienced committee who is approaching this process from the perspective of a hiring committee, will carefully review applications and conduct interviews to make sure we find the best person to serve on the Board: candidates who are not only qualified and capable, but committed.

The Nominating Committee has convened and is charged with presenting a slate for the 2011 LMA Midwest Board of Directors to our membership for ratification later this summer. Our committee is comprised of past LMA Midwest presidents, committee chairs, and LMA International Board members. The members are Joy Long, Mike Ralston and Alycia Sutor. Our Immediate Past President, Megan Wilroy, serves as chairperson of the committee.

As a member of the Board, you can:

• Make a difference in how the chapter provides services to its members
• Enhance your leadership skills
• Make important industry connections for personal and professional career building opportunities
• Make friends in a community of legal marketing practitioners who share your interests

To serve on the 2011 Board, you must be a current member in good standing with LMA Midwest chapter and have been a member of the organization for a minimum of two years.
